Grampian Air Rifle Club
Grampian Air Rifle Club

 Open Pistol - The Rules

Pistols only, no shoulder/carbine stocks or suchlike.

Any calibre.

Any sights - opens, scopes, red dots and, whaddahell, lasers are all acceptable.

Shoot standing and unsupported.  One or two handed holds at the shooter's preference.

Five rounds over the course of 2025 - to be taken at the individual entrant's convenience on the Denwood 10m range.  Let's reserve the option to extend to 10 rounds if there's enough demand.

NSRA 10m Air Pistol targets only.  The Club will provide these.  Two per round, five shots per target - total of 10 shots per round.   Bear in mind that we're not recognising the innermost "10.9" bull - both it and the "10" ring count as 10.

Practice as much as you like but official entries must be declared and signed before shooting and witnessed - no shooting 20 targets and picking the best!

No retracting targets mid shoot to see where your shots landed - target goes fully out, five shots, target comes back.

Marking of targets to be by the centre of the pellet hole to ensure a level playing field between differing calibres.  If it's too close to call then flip a coin - heads it's the higher score, tails the lower.
