50m Springer Comp 2026

25/6/26.  Nick R is having a brilliant run -  his recent nine and ten have put him within reach of Erni's 86 and, barring some cataclysmic event, he's looking like a cert to lift the Springer crown this year.

22/6/26.  A lot has happened since the last update and blow by blow details of what happened inbetween can be found over on the GARC Forum threads.

The highlights are - Erni's got all his rounds in, finally getting that elusive ten he'd been chasing for a while and is the man to beat.  Nick R looks like he'll give him a run for his money though and Jim can never be discounted.

There's even a possibility of Bri picking up a Springer and having a go although let's not hold our breath on that one.

16/4/26.  Malcolm picked up his HW95 and put in a first round four.  You never know what you're going to get with Malcolm from week to week - it could be a two or a 12 - but it's always great to see him enter into the spirit of things.

Nick R is a more consistent proposition as this week's HW77 based nine demonstrates.  He's enjoying a week in the top spot because of it.

14/4/26.  There were three interesting entries this week - a strong opening salvo of nine from Nick R, a slight dip for Erni with an eight and, surprisingly, a barely believable, less than stellar five from Jim.

That's a lot of points to drop this early on if you want to outscore Erni and Nick - time will tell if he can claw back the lost ground.

3/4/26.  A no-nonsense, declaration of intent from Erni with the first shots fired in the 2026 Denwood Competition season.

A serious nine shows he's not mucking about and means business.  It's highly doubtful that Jim will let this go unchallenged though and, who knows, others may join in and give him a run for his money.

Hell, Bri might even remember how to shoot straight but let's not put money on that.

It's time for the Sultans of Spring to strut their stuff on the 50m range again.

For those entering for the first time, it's a simple affair - all that's needed is a word with Erni and he'll give you a quick rundown of what's involved and then off you go.  Five targets set at varying ranges and two shots at each.  Nothing to it.

There's hardly any rules and the shooting's no different from what everyone already does.  Ten pellets and a couple of minutes of your time is all it costs.

It's a great way for new members to join in with things and it will make you a better shot so give it a try - there's nothing to lose and you may be a winner!
